The BARB have revealed the final figures for The Snowmen, where it was viewed by 9.87m, making it the most recorded TV programme ever as the recorded figure of 4.12 was added to the 'live' viewing of 5.75m. It is also the sixth most watched Christmas special, but remember that these figures do not include iPlayer ratings, which has been requested 1.476m times.
